Hello Friends,
I hope this letter finds you well. As you may know the City of Sacramento is planning to sue me to take away my property via eminent domain to give it to another developer from out-of-town along with a $24 Million dollar subsidy. This abuse of private property rights and waste of taxpayer dollars is wrong, and I am asking for your help on behalf of myself and everyone who cares about the future of Sacramento.
Tomorrow you can help make your voices known in support of private property rights by coming to the City Council meeting on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 915 I Street at 2:00 P.M.
Our Mayor and her cronies want to take my land and pay me less than its fair market value to give to another person who happens to be well-connected with lobbyists and politicians.
Please help me fight against government abuse!
The City Council is creating urban decay downtown by refusing to invest in K Street and our historic downtown core, and they are blaming me for their own poor performance and lack of leadership. I believe in working hard, saving money, and helping small businesses succeed.
The City has more than a $55 Million dollar deficit, and yet our City leaders are lobbying with out-of-town developers giving them multi-million dollar subsidies.
Please give me a call at 916-870-7236. It is important to encourage our citizens, and especially young people, to speak out on condemnation and the abuse of government power.
Above all, it is vitally important that we all participate at the hearing Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 2:00 PM at the City Council Chambers.
Thank you for all your support and encouragement!
Best regards,
Moe
